About The Organization For the Survivors and the Wounded
The 7th of October is one of the darkest days in the people of Israel’s history, as well as the State of Israel’s. On that cursed day, also known as “Black Sabbath,” began a surprise ambush of heavy gun fire and continued with rockets on Israeli soil, specifically in the South of Israel. During and afterwards, thousands of heavily armed terrorists breached the fence and invaded by land, air, and sea, and began firing in every direction, with the intent to kill.
Many citizens, nation brothers, brothers in arms, friends, and family members — butchered, murdered, wounded, raped, damaged, abused, limbs amputated, tortured, looted, and burned alive. Babies, kids, men, women, and elderly – taken hostage into the Gaza Strip.
The horrific massacre scarred an entire state and there isn’t a person in the state that wasn’t affected in one way or another, yet for many people and families – the scar is deeper. For them we established The Organization For the Survivors and the Wounded and we will do everything in our power to help them in any way possible.
Our Story – Who Stands
Behind the Organization?
The Organization For the Survivors and the Wounded was established by the Sharabi family, whose sons, Daniel and Neriyah are two of the heroes from the music festival, stood and fought like heroes in the line of fire, tended to wounded, and saved many lives. They lived to tell their story, the victims of the massacre’s story, to the world while they complete the mission reality put before them, so that everyone will remember what really happened on the 7th of October and all those who can no longer tell their story themselves.
The Organization’s Activies – Striving To Supply A Comprehensive Umbrella of Support:
The Survivors’, Wounded’s, and their families’ lives have changed forever/ No one will ever forget it happened nor can we change the past, but we’ll do everything in our power to help change the future. For that reason, we will operate in 3 main areas of operation: Emotion Rehabilitation, Financial Recovery, and Social Rehabilitation.
Emotion Rehabilitation
Coping emotionally is unbearable for the survivors and wounded and it will be impossible to do it alone. Therefore, we will make sure to welcome everyone to the family and supply a variety of professional services and others for psychological and emotional support.
Unique trauma treatments
Therapeutic getaways in Israel and abroad
Treatments to ease coping and mitigating stress
Therapy from leading mental health professionals in Israel and around the world
Establishing a 24/7 support hotline
Financial Recovery
The survivors, wounded, and their families were mortally burdened financially and when they’re trying with all their might to emotionally recover from what they went through, it’s going to be hard for them to recover financially without help. Within the framework of our financial support we will grant:
Support in exercising all rights with National Healthcare
Gift Cards for food, clothing, and gifts
Financial grants for the survivors and wounded
Support in returning to the workforce
Social Rehabilitation
As we said – we can’t get through this alone, but we don’t need to go through it alone. We’re all one family, friends, one nation. We’ll stick by each other the whole way:
Organizing group trips
Setting up meet ups and social events
Establishing private groups on Facebook and WhatsApp for the survivors and wounded
