עמית נולד בתאריך 21.7.2004 בבית חולים תל השומר, בן לגלית וגיא ואח לנעם וליאיר.
עמית החל את לימודיו בבית ספר יסודי ״טל״ בראש העין, לאחר מכן המשיך את לימודי החטיבה והתיכון בבית הספר״הבית של תמר״ שבשפיים, שם סיים את לימודיו בהישגים גבוהים ותעודת בגרות טובה מאוד.
אהבתו הגדולה של עמית היתה לעולם הכדורסל: הוא שיחק בליגה בראש העין,
עבר לשחק בקבוצת נוער על בפתח תקוה ואף הצליח להבחר לקבוצת המצטיינים בנבחרת ישראל, כי כשעמית הציב לעצמו מטרה, הוא דאג לכבוש אותה.
כמו כן סיים עמית קורס מאמנים, דאג ללמד את חניכיו הצעירים בגילאי 9-13 את את הידע והמיומנויות בתחום הכדורסל והחדיר בהם את האהבה שבערה בו לספורט זה.
לצד הכדורסל עמית אהב גם ספורט אתגרי: חבב סקי, גלש בססטרייר, עשה קורס נהיגה ברכבי מרוץ ונהג בהם באירופה בטיולים משותפים עם אביו ואחיו.
חלק בלתי נפרד מעולמו של עמית היה עולם הנתינה וההתנדבות: עמית התנדב בעמותת קסם בראש העין, סידר, ארז חבילות ושינע אותם לבתי הנזקקים בעיר.
כשהיה על עמית לבחור, לקראת גיוסו, בין המשך קריירת הכדורסל כשחקן מצטיין לבין שירות קרבי , הוא בחר לעשות למען המדינה ולשרת כחייל קרבי: הוא שובץ בחיל השיריון, בגדוד רשף שבחטיבה 188, סיים את ההכשרה כנהג טנק והיה אמור לצאת לקורס מפקדי טנקים.

בשעות הצהריים דפקו נציגי צה”ל על דלת בתינו והודיעו על נפילתו של עמית.
עמית נפל במהלך המלחמה בצפון הארץ סמוך למושב שתולה שבגליל המערבי, לאחר שנפגע מירי פצמר שנורה לעברו.
בן 19 היה בנופלו.
עמית יזכר תמיד כחבר, אדם שאהב לעזור ולתת מעצמו לכולם, אדם עם קסם אישי כזה שגרם
לכל אחד להתאהב בו.
אדם עוצמתי בעל שקט ושלווה פנימיים. נפילתו של עמית היא אבדה קשה למשפחתו, לחבריו ולכל סובביו.

Amit was born on July 21, 2004 in Tel Hashomer Hospital, the son of Galit and Guy and the brother of Noam and Leor.
Amit began his studies at the "Tal" elementary school in Rosh HaAyin, then continued his elementary and high school studies at the "Tamar House" school in Shephaim, where he graduated with high achievements and a very good matriculation certificate.
Amit's great love was for the world of basketball: he played in the Rosh HaAyin league, moved on to play for a youth team at Petah Tikva, and even managed to be selected for the outstanding team in the Israeli national team, because when Amit set a goal for himself, he made sure to conquer it.
Amit also completed a coaching course, made sure to teach his young trainees aged 9-13 the knowledge and skills in the field of basketball and instilled in them the love that burned in him for this sport.
In addition to basketball, Amit also loved adventure sports: he loved skiing, took a driving course in racing cars and drove them in Europe on joint trips with his father and brother.
An inseparable part of Amit's world was the world of giving and volunteering: Amit volunteered at the Kesem association in Rosh HaAyin, sorting, packing packages and transporting them to the homes of the needy in the city.
When Amit had to choose, in preparation for his enlistment, between continuing his basketball career as an outstanding player and combat service, he chose to do for the country and serve as a combat soldier: he was assigned to the Armored Corps, in the Reshef Battalion of the 188th Brigade, completed training as a tank driver and was scheduled to go on a tank commanders course.
On Friday, 12.22.23, in the afternoon, IDF representatives knocked on the door of our homes and announced the fall of Amit. Amit fell during the war in the north near Moshav Shtula in the Western Galilee, after being hit by a flak shot fired at him. He was 19 years old.
Amit will always be remembered as a friend, a person who loved to help and give of himself to everyone, a person with such personal charm that he caused everyone to fall in love with. A powerful person with inner peace and quiet. The fall of Amit is a great loss for his family, his friends and everyone around him.
