סמלת צוות עדי לנדמן, חיילת תצפית בגדוד 414 של חיל הגנת הגבול, נרצחה ב-7 באוקטובר כשמחבלי חמאס השתלטו על מוצב נחל עוז, בו הוצבה. במשך שבוע אחד היא נחשבה נעדרת.
עדי הייתה חברה פעילה בלהקת הנוער המוזיקלית של יקנעם והופיע בטקסים עירוניים, מחזות זמר והפקות רבות. היא הייתה אוהדת קבוצת הכדורגל של הפועל חיפה ואהבה לפרסם ריקודים וסרטונים בטיקטוק.
שי תמיר, חברתה הטובה, כתבה: "מי שבאמת הכיר אותך יודע שהעולם איבד את האדם הכי טוב שהיה. את הנפש התאומה שלי. בכל מקום שהלכנו, היו אלה שי ועדי, תמיד ביחד, ורצינו להמשיך כך עד סוף חיינו. איך הכל נגמר? איך נשארתי לבד? איך אני חי בלעדיך?…איך אמשיך בחיים בלי הילדה בצחוק אינסופי? בלי כתף תמיד לבכות עליה? בלי התמיכה הכי גדולה? בלי הלב הישר והטהור ביותר? איך אני יכול להמשיך בלי הרכילות שלנו בשעות הלילה המאוחרות, בלי לנסוע במכונית רק כדי לצרוח את השירים האהובים עלינו, בלי הבדיחות הפנימיות שלנו? שמישהו יסביר לי איך אני יכול לחיות בלי הנפש התאומה שלי".
עמית בסון, חברתה משכבר הימים, כתבה: "את זוכרת שרצית להיפגש? את התעקשת, אני זוכר. זה כאילו ידעת שזו תהיה הפעם האחרונה שנתראה. אני זוכר שהיית בחיים שלי לנצח – גן ילדים, בית ספר יסודי, חטיבת ביניים, תיכון וצבא. אני רוצה שזה יימשך לנצח ולא יעצור כאן. עדי, אין לי זיכרון רע אחד ממך. כולם היו טובים, לב אחד טהור, בלי טיפה של רוע. היית פשוט מלאך שאלוהים שלח אותו! אני מכיר אותך 18 שנים, ואני לא יכול לדמיין את חיי בלעדיך. מי יגרום לי להיחנק מצחוק? מי יתמוך בי ויהי מה? עם מי אני אשיר שירים באוטו בווליום מלא? מי יגרום לי לחייך כמוך? למי אספר כל דבר קטן שקורה בחיי? דידי, החיים שלי ייראו כל כך אחרת בלעדייך."

Adi Landman, 19 years old, from Yokne’am Illit. Daughter of Orit and Barak, older sister of Liad and Kfir.
Staff Sgt. Adi Landman, an observation soldier in the 414th Battalion of the Border Defense Corps, was murdered on October 7 when Hamas terrorists overran the Nahal Oz post, where she was stationed. For one week, she was considered missing.
Adi was an active member of the Yokne’am youth musical troupe and performed at many city ceremonies, musicals, and productions. She was a fan of the Hapoel Haifa soccer team and loved to post silly dances and videos on TikTok.
Shay Tamir, her best friend, wrote: “Those who really knew you know that the world lost the best person there was. You’re my soulmate. Everywhere we went, it was Shay and Adi, always together, and we wanted to continue that way for the rest of our lives. How did it all end? How was I left alone? How do I live without you?…How do I continue in life without the girl with endless laughter? Without a shoulder always to cry on? Without the biggest support? Without the honest and most pure heart? How can I continue without our late-night gossiping, without driving around in the car just to scream our favorite songs, without our inside jokes? Someone explain to me how I can live without my soulmate.”
Amit Basson, her longtime friend, wrote: “Do you remember that you wanted to meet up? You insisted, I remember. It’s as if you knew that it would be the last time we’d see each other. I remember you being in my life forever – nursery school, kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school, and the army. I want it to continue forever and not to stop here. Adi, I don’t have one bad memory of you. You were all good, one pure heart, without a drop of evil. You were simply an angel that God sent us! I’ve known you for 18 years, and I can’t imagine my life without you. Who will make me choke with laughter? Who will support me no matter what? Who will I sing songs in the car at full volume with? Who will make me smile like you did? Who will I gossip with? Who will I tell every little thing that happens in my life? Didi, my life will look so different now without you.”
