אסף מאסטר

אסף נולד ב-26 באוקטובר 2001 (בן 22), הבן הבכור מבין שלושה.
זכיתי להכיר אותו רק לתקופה קצרה, שכן הוא מונה להיות מפקד היחידה שלי.
אבל בפרק הזמן הקצר שבילינו יחד, מצאתי אדם מצחיק, כריזמטי וטוב לב שבאמת אכפת לו מהחיילים שלו כאילו היינו הילדים שלו.
הוא היה הכי טוב בכל דבר, הוא התעלה על מחנה ההפעלה שלו ביחידה מיוחדת ומקורס הקצינים שלו וכל מה שעשה בצבא.
הלוואי שכולם היו יכולים לקבל שיחה של 10 דקות כדי להבין את האדם שהוא, והם היו מרגישים מבורכים שהיו להם את 10 הדקות האלה.
הוא היה יותר מסתם מפקד, והוא היה יותר מסתם אדם.
הוא נהרג בזמן שהגן על חייליו.

Asaf was born on October 26th, 2001 (22 years old), the eldest son of three.
I only got to know him for a short period of time, as he was appointed to be the commander of my unit.
But in the short amount of time we spent together, I found a funny, charismatic, good hearted person who really cared about his soldiers like we were his own kids.
He was the best at everything, he exceeded his Boot Camp in a Special unit and his officer’s course and everything else he did in the army.
I wish everyone could have gotten a 10 minute call to understand the person he was, and they would feel blessed they had those 10 minutes.
He was more than just a commander, and he was more than just a person.
He was killed while he protected his soldiers.
Rest Easy, Asaf Master.
I am proud of the fact you were my commander.
