Adrienne Anne Neta was born in California to Ellen and Alfred Lampard in 1957. Her father worked as an engineer in the US Navy, and the family lived in Southern California. As a child, she concentrated on music and played the violin. Adrienne finished high school early after completing all her duties. After that, she studied music and played the flute at the University of California in Los Angeles and Santa Cruz. After graduation, she played in the California Philharmonic Orchestra in San Luis Obispo, California.
In 1978, Adrienne and Israel, son of Be’eri, who traveled in the USA after the army, met at a mutual friend's house. After a trip around the USA, Israel returned to the kibbutz. Adrienne arrived some time later for a "short visit,” which lasted from 1980 to the present day. Upon arriving at the kibbutz, she accepted the burden of Zionism, Hebrewness and Israeliness.
Adrienne was an extremely hard worker and enriched every branch in which she worked: in the dairy, she learned the calls of the dairy farmers and sang them in the decisive intonation ("Bowway boi-boi-boi") and especially loved the quality time in the milking parlor. In the children's company, she taught a class together with Yaakov Barkai and was deeply influenced by his humanism. At that time, she also gave music lessons to kindergarten children.
In 1982, her eldest son, Nahar, was born, two years later, Carmel, Carmi, and in 1986, Dror was born. In 1993, her youngest daughter, Ayana, was born. Adrienne was a loving, involved, and caring mother. She always made sure that the family sat down to eat dinner together at home. She raised her children to be people of peace and lovers of people.
In the early 1990s, while raising her family and children, she began to study nursing in Be’er Sheva, with her characteristic diligence and dedication. After graduating, she worked as a nurse at the kibbutz clinic first and then at the Kibbutz Alumim clinic. She loved the work in the community and saw in each patient, first of all, a person, a whole world. In 1997, she began studying midwifery and upon completion, began working as a nurse-midwife at Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva. She would travel to Be'er Sheva in the evening, night, and morning, and volunteered countless times to fill the holiday and Shabbat shifts. In the delivery room, she was known as a midwife with a unique midwifery approach that included techniques she had adapted to herself over the years. From sitting on the maternity bed while giving birth to skillfully pressing certain points with her fingers, Adrienne stood out as a midwife who treated every mother with respect and kindness, regardless of her origin, religion, or language.
In our estimation, she gave birth to thousands of babies over the years, bringing life to the world. In 2015, she went as part of the Israeli delegation to Nepal after the severe earthquake. She met and cared for the common people in the remote villages, which deepened and enriched herself, she testified.
In 2022, after many years of working shifts in the delivery room, Adrienne retired. Without stopping to rest, she became a full-time grandmother. She spent days and nights traveling, babysitting, and accompanying the grandchildren.
She volunteered one to two days a week at Rimon Farm near Kibbutz Lahav. At the farm, she helped rehabilitate boys and girls without a frame and treated them with great love. She loved the healing work done on the farm through organic farming, which was one of her main hobbies.
On the black morning of October 7, 2023, she was taken from her home and murdered by human animals. She was 66 years old. Mother, grandmother, friend and harbinger of life to the world. Adrienne's legacy will grow from the soil of the land and echo through the thousands of human beings she had given birth to. May her memory be a blessing.
