אדיר מסיקה, בן 23, מאבן יהודה. בן לאלון ושירי, אח של אור, לירן וליבי, בן זוג של יולי.
אדיר נורה למוות במסיבת נובה במתקפת הטרור סמוך לקיבוץ רעים בשבת, שמחת תורה, 7.10.2023. כאשר המתקפה הגיעה לאזור שלו, אדיר נלחם בידיים, יחד עם חברו עילאי נחמן ז"ל, נגד מחבלים שהיו מחוץ למקלט שבו הסתתרו עם מספר צעירות אחרות שהם רצו להגן עליהן. הם נלחמו בידיים חשופות נגד מחבלים חמושים, ושלוש צעירות ניצלו, ביניהן בת זוגו של אדיר. בהודעתו האחרונה מהמיגונית, כתב למשפחתו: "אני אוהב אתכם מאוד."
אביו, אלון מסיקה, אמר: "נכנסת למקלט ושמעת שיש מחבלים בחוץ. קיבלת החלטה להילחם בהם, החלטה שמתאימה לך מאוד. אמרת לבנות להישאר מאחור. הבנת שהמחבלים היו בדלת, ואתה ועילאי פרצתם החוצה כדי לנטרל את המחבלים, ללא נשק, ללא אמצעי קרב, רק עם גופכם… אני בטוח שקרעתם את הצורה שלהם. העובדה שאף אחד לא נכנס למקלט במשך 6 שעות!!"
אביו גם אמר: "ברוך ה' ברא לנו ילד מדהים. ילד של נתינה ואהבה. הוא היה ילד מצחיק, פוץ עם שטויות מצחיקות… ילד שאהב לעזור לכולם ולא רק לעצמו. הוא תמיד היה שם עבור כולם. הוא אהב אנשים, אהב את החיים, ותמיד היה מוקף חברים."
אדיר היה בוגר בית ספר ליוזמה מנהיגותית בחר. הוא היה גם שחקן כדורסל, בוגר מועדון כדורסל באזור שלו.

Adir was murdered at the Nova party in the terror attack near Kibbutz Re’im on Saturday, Simchat Torah, 10.7.2023. When the attack came to his area, Adir turned out to be fighting with his hands, together with his friend Ilay Nachman z”l, against terrorists that were outside the shield where they hid with a number of other young women whom they wanted to protect. They fought with their bare hands against armed terrorists, and three young women were rescued, among them Adir’s partner. In his last message from the migunit, he wrote to his family, “I love you all very much.”
His father, Alon Mesika, said: “You entered the shield and heard that there were terrorists outside. You made a decision to fight them, a decision that suits you well. You told the girls to stay back. Did you understand that the terrorists were at the door, and you and Ilay broke out in order to neutralize the terrorists, without weapons, no means of combat, just your bodies…I’m sure you tore his shape up. The fact that no one got into the shield for 6 hours!!”
His father also said: “We were blessed with an amazing child. A child of giving and love. He was a funny child, a fool with some funny nonsense…A boy who liked to help everyone and not just himself. He was always there for everyone. He loved people, loved life, and was always surrounded by friends.”
Adir was a graduate of Bechar Leadership Initiative School. He was also a basketball player, a graduate of a basketball club in his area.
